Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word for-mat, clearly indicating
- The title (and sub-title) of the paper;
- The name, affiliation, and contact de-tails of the author (including at least
one e-mail address; and
- The sub-theme of the conference under which the abstract is being
submitted. The main text of the abstract, which describes the contents of
the paper, should not be longer than 250 words.
For Panel Proposals, the coordinator(s) of the panels are required to:
- Submit a motivation for the panel. The motivation should not be longer
than 1 000 words.
- The titles of the papers that will be presented in the panel, including the
names, affiliation, and contact de-tails of the authors of the papers.
- The sub-theme(s) of the conference under which the panel(s) will be
presented.
- In cases of multi-session panels, the title of each session. Each session, of
a multi-session panel, should have no more than four presentations
(including discussants’).
- Other than panels devoted to national themes, paper presenters in
thematic panels should reflect cross-national and gender diversity. It will be
the responsibility of the panel coordinator of a successful panel to
coordinate the timely submission of papers.
Deadlines:
All abstracts and panel proposals must be received by the conference
secretariat not later than Wednesday 31 January 2007. The result of the
evaluation of abstracts and panel proposal will be announced by
Wednesday 28 February 2007.
Full papers from authors of selected abstracts, including those to be
presented in successful panels, must be received by Friday 28 April 2007.
The papers will be available online (on the AfSA website) by Friday 16 June
2007.
